With our first project, we wanted to send a message of solidarity to people on-the-move in Moria Camp on Lesvos during the first wave of COVID-19. We started the initiative #EuropeCares to show that people all across the continent had not forgotten those trapped in horrendous conditions in the camps on the European borders.
People from over 15 countries, as well as many organizations and companies participated and contributed a total of 50.000 homemade masks & 350.000 FFP-2 masks. The masks were provided to Team Humanity, Attika Human Support, as well as Lesvos Solidarity.
