Project: Nadiya Ukraine
We stand in solidarity with those affected by the war in Ukraine. Since the start of the war, we have been working to send emergency aid and support those who escape the violence.
The team of the grassroots project Nadiya joined Europe Cares in August 2022. Together, we created a supply line for humanitarian aid via a hub directly on the border to Ukraine in Slovakia, from where we transfered relief shipments into the country. We worked closely with the Netzwerk Ziviler Krisenstab to ensure regular shipments and are in frequent exchange with various partners in Ukraine.
In January 2023, we supported Project Nadiya in the creation of their own organization, in order to continue supporting Ukraine in the long-term.
