Our mission

Europe Cares works towards a european society that stands in solidarity with people on-the-move. We support people on-the-move and raise awareness for the human rights violations on the european borders.

We started out with the collection and preparation of humanitarian aid and this continues to be at the core of our work. We work in a close network with partners all across the continent, are present on the ground ourselves and contribute to a movement of people who act in solidarity.

Human rights are violated on the European borders and we do not want to support the status quo. As civil society actor, we see it as our responsibility to speak up loudly and clearly to hold those accountable that support the politics of fear and deterrance.

Humanitarian activism.

At the core of our work is our humanitarian activism. Our field projects on the European borders support people on-the-move directly and are driven by our permanent staff on the ground, as well as field volunteers from across the continent.

To build public pressure, our team sheds light on ongoing developments and calls for respecting the rights of people on-the-move. Through infromative reports, public events & workshops, we want to provide a platform for people on-the-move, activists and other organizations.

Mitilini/Kara Tepe, Lesvos, Greece

It has been over three years since fire destroyed Moria Camp. Since then, the attention has shifted away from Lesvos - but a thousand people are still trapped on the island.

In Paréa Lesvos, civil society actors come together in their support for people on the move. The center offers a welcoming environment, where visitors can spend their day and access a wide range of services by our partner organizations:

  • Medical services & psycho-social support

  • Educational offers

  • Recreational activities & sports

  • Legal support

Frankfurt am Main, Germany

People on-the-move on the European borders are forced to live in inhumane conditions. Governments and large organizations fail - in Greece, Bosnia, France and beyond. People from across the continent decide to put their solidarity into action and support with in-kind donations.

From our hub in Frankfurt am Main, we want to help other groups in their collection, sorting and logistics of humanitarian aid. We regularly send transports with essential relief goods to groups on the ground.
